MARIE PASSA DE SAFAR  SEMBLANCES LYRIQUES Born in 1971. Lives and works in Paris Marie Passa de Safar graduated in architecture and urban design. She worked for many years on different foreign cities such as Cairo, St- Petersburg and Saigon, before entering an international architecture agency as project manager. Once there, she worked on prestigious international projects, designing houses, mixed- use buildings, public spaces and fragments of cities. Since 2007 Marie has decided to concentrate more on photography and use her ever observant eye in a more spontaneous way. She works on different themes (architecture, nature, still lives, nudes) and strives to get beyond the limitations of the direct representation of appearance. Her creative process brings her photography close to painting and charcoal drawing in her attempt to achieve this. She is currently working on several new series depicting the facades of Italian churches and palaces, exploring colour abstract photo- paintings, and illustrating Michelangelo's sonnets.
